Carbon labelling for transport

The everyday decisions made by transport users have a major impact on the planet. In Europe, a quarter of total greenhouse gas emissions come from transport but users often lack the right tools to fully understand the consequences of their transport choices.

The European Commission is working on a new initiative called CountEmissions EU, which will allow for a common methodology for the calculation of carbon emissions from transport. CER proposes to go a step further with a mandatory carbon label for all transport modes.
