Guidelines on Track Access Charges

The Community of European Railways (CER) has submitted a position paper to the European Commission concerning the Guidelines on Track Access Charges (TAC).

The European Commission is planning to publish guidelines on TAC in 2024. Revised guidelines will be founded on the Commission’s action plan to boost long-distance and cross-border passenger rail.

CER's position paper summarises the views of our members on various topics, including the funding of long-distance and cross-border rail traffic, State compensation for railway infrastructure managers or TAC's role in supporting a modal shift towards sustainable modes of transport.
