ERA as a registration entity for railway vehicles

In this joint statement of the Group of Representative Bodies (GRB), AERRL, ALLRAIL, CER, EIM, ERFA, FEDECRAIL, UIP and UNIFE express their support for the centralised registration function of the European Vehicle Register (EVR) - as defined in the Commission Implementing Regulation 2018/1614 of 25 October 2018 - and the migration of data for registered vehicles from the NVRs to the centralised registration function of EVR. 

The associations also support the intention for the EU Agency for Railways (ERA) to become a registration entity, however they underline that applicants should remain free to choose a national registration entity if preferred.
