TSGA - the TAP TSI Services Governance Association TSGA - the TAP TSI Services Governance Association

The TSGA (TAP TSI Services Governance Association) is a non-profit association helping to improve rail distribution and digitalisation.

The TSGA was set up in December 2016 by DB, Trenitalia and SNCF Mobilités, as founding member, in order to build the TAP TSI regulatory services and make them available for rail stakeholders, as stated in the TAP TSI Regulation. The TSGA thereby acts as a regulatory-driven enabler for businesses to step further into the field of digitalisation focusing on the “Retail” provisions of the Regulation.

The TSGA now counts 6 members with DSB, NS, SBB, and is looking forward to other European rail stakeholders joining the association.

Launch of TSGA regulatory services

After months of intensive work, the TSGA TAP TSI regulatory services were officially implemented in August 2019. They are available for TSGA members since September 2019 and to all interested stakeholders as from October 2019. These services are needed for railways to meet their obligations and for third parties to enjoy their rights under the TAP TSI Regulation.

The 3 regulatory services are:

A TSGA license allows to access these 3 services. If you are a TSGA member, the license fee is already included in your membership fee. If you are not a TSGA member yet, you can subscribe to a TSGA license providing unlimited access to TSGA regulatory services for a year.

All the information about the the terms and conditions of the license is available at TSGA web site

Becoming a TSGA member, a real added value for rail stakeholders

By joining the TSGA, railway undertakings and ticket vendors will become part of a ticketing “flag-ship” initiative enjoying the full support of the European Commission. It will also allow your organisation to play an active role in the management of the TAP TSI regulatory services and potentially related activities, and strengthen a non-discriminatory “eco-system” for rail services distribution. Being a member will of course provide your organisation with full TSGA voting rights and full access to TSGA regulatory services free of charge, as the licence will be included in your membership fee. Last but not least, becoming a TSGA member will give proof of a broader commitment of your organisation towards European regulations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
