Reducing rail freight noise

Rail freight noise is the last remaining environmental challenge for the European rail sector. This CER Fact Sheet, launched on the occasion of our 3 May 2017 conference Reducing rail freight noise: what should we do?, illustrates the sector’s strategy in reducing noise pollution and the economics of noise reduction measures, calling on EU policymakers to support the railways' efforts to address the issue.
