Women in Rail Award 2026 - Ceremony

The 2026 Women in Rail Award ceremony will highlight individuals, teams and organisations that are driving change and creating concrete opportunities for women in the railway sector.

Winners across four categories - Women Empowerment and Leadership Award, R&I in Railway Award, Next Generation in Rail Award, and Women in Rail Operations Award - will be announced on 22 September in Berlin, during InnoTrans 2026, the leading event for the European railway sector.

This event will provide a great platform for the individuals, teams and organisations who will be recognised, further supporting progress towards greater gender balance in the sector.

The Women in Rail Award is organised by the European Commission’s Women in Transport Platform, ERA, CER, ALE, Europe’s Rail JU, EIM and UNIFE. This award is an initiative that builds upon the Women in Rail Agreement, furthering its mission to promote gender diversity and inclusion within the railway sector.
