About the event
Digitalisation is one of the top priorities for the rail sector and its future. The objective for the rail sector is to offer highly efficient and attractive transport options to their customers and to make the most of the opportunities offered by digital transformation.
The second edition of the CER Digital Fair was a timely opportunity for the rail sector to show the latest digital developments to each other as well as to the EU institutions and external stakeholders. Visitors were invited to discover innovative digital products, apps and websites improving the digital day-to-day experience for customers and companies in the areas of connectivity, IoT, automation, open data and much more, including exciting new cross-border and cross-sectoral digital products and services.
Bringing together experts from the European railway sector and from the EU institutions, the event provided a unique occasion for attendants to:
- Exchange experiences and good practices in the digital area
- Engage with EU policymakers and communicate the railways’ needs as identified in the Roadmap for Digital Railways
