8th ERA Budapest Workshop on Safety and Interoperability

The 8th Budapest’s ERA workshop, organised by the Department of Railway Authority of the Hungarian Ministry of Innovation and Technology, will be held online this year due to the outbreak of the COVID-19. A total of 26 presentations will be held at the virtual ERA workshop, with presentations from the Executive Director and experts of the European Agency for Railways furthermore from EU Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport, as well as experts representing different European railway organisations. CER's Executive Director Libor Lochman and Technical Diretor Enno Wiebe will be among these.

The theme of the workshop is: ‘The development of rail safety and interoperability in the mirror of a 4th Railway Package. The program of the workshop is included in the agenda available to download above.

Date of the workshop: 26 November, 2020 between 08.40 and 17.00 hours. The plenary session will be held in the morning and, following the lunch break, in 4 sections (joint section of infrastructure and vehicles, followed by a separate section of infrastructure and vehicles, as well as the Railway Safety Section) will continue. The passage between the sections will be ensured, and you can choose between the presentations at your discretion.

The workshop’s presentations are held in English. At the workshop, questions to be addressed to the speakers can be asked in writing by means of an application, which will be answered in writing by the speakers. Both questions and answers will be sent to all participants in e-mail.
