Data Science and Mobility Conference

Data Science and Mobility Conference

Wednesday, 31 January 2018
Lausanne

In collaboration with the Swiss railway operator SBB, the Data Science and Mobility Conference will be hosted by EPFL at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, on 31 January 2018.

At the Data Science and Mobility Conference, EPFL and SBB are bringing people together to brainstorm and to start paving the way toward mobility 4.0. Both researchers and decision-makers will bring to the table their ground-breaking vision and skills in order to foresee the potential of digital disruption in transportation-related fields. Researchers will present their current projects combining data science and mobility and experts will share their needs and vision. Through four challenging workshop sessions, we will have the opportunity to question the specific needs of mobility in the digital age.

The conference will encompass three parts:

  • Part 1: Introduction and overview with Martin Vetterli (EPFL) and Andreas Meyer (SBB)
  • Part 2: Presentation of projects from research, industry and a mobility provider
  • Part 3: Workshops with relevant participants and experts from EPFL and from SBB
